Well they do have a point, it is not an AMG product.
It is not a Mercedes.
It is a Chrysler, conceived using In Vitro fertilization.

It does have Mercedes DNA, being made from the Mercedes parts bin with some new components identified with Mercedes part numbers. Strangely I cannot recall seeing parts that have permanently molded Chrysler part numbers or logos on them.

It has only a little Chrysler DNA despite what its birth certificate says and as such it has little connection to any Chrysler products, and none to any of the
American Motors products.

It is a strange animal, loved by neither parent who divorced shortly after its birth. It is now disowned by its father, largely ignored by its mother and left to roam the highways, many identified by stick-on labels that further confuse.

Talk about an identity crisis.
