I took my 2006 Crossfire, The Silver Fox along with a high school buddy and his 1964 260Z Datsun out for a drive along 226A, better known as The Diamondback in North Carolina.


226A had a lot of construction and the new road surface was great. What was scary was the 10" drop down to the old shoulder. We stopped at Little Switzerland Inn for lunch

The pictures were taken at the pool looking and the Blue Ridge Mountains.


Suggest this location as a place to stay for a Crossfire rally someday. Can drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake James Route and McDowell County Scenic Roads.


After lunch we went onto the Blue Ridge Parkway for a great day of driving the mountains of NC.
