The 914 that I talked him out of was from Cascade Motors out on Rt. 8.
Is your friends Z white or silver? I can't tell from the photograph. I don't remember ever seeing it around our area. Trust me, I look at everyone I see.

I love em. My biggest regret is that I didn't buy a brand new "left over" 1978 Datsun 280 Z instead of the later model 79 280 ZX.
The Z's have a "Timeless" design.
It would be cool to meet your friend, I'd love for my buddy to see his car, maybe it would give him the incentive to get his back on the road. He and his Wife live over in Fairlawn now. He also has an absolutely beautiful 1970 Mustang Mach I (That originally came from North Carolina.) Like the Z, both cars have been parked for years.

You are correct, it is a small world. I graduated from Cuyahoga Fall in 1961 and then went into the Navy.
My friend Jim still lives in the Falls and owns Akron Tire and Frame in Akron. That is where he rebuilds Datsun as a hobby. His Datsun is white and at his place of business, he has several Z;s there for parts. Ha is also the VP of a Datsun club I think out of Cleveland.
Jim can repair anything on a Z since his shop is setup for big trucks and equipment.
If you stop in, tell Jim that you have been talking with me, Fred Harmon thru the CrossfireForum.
