the other end of that hose is open to atmosphere in the engine bay. it is not needed on the new pumps, bosch stuck the dead "nipple" there so you would have a place to attach the dead hose, which can still make it equally confusing, lol.




so the hose is not needed, either remove it from the car or leave it hanging there doing nothing. it is intertwined into the IC fluid hose assembly so I just left mine there
