Default Intercooler Isolation Kit/Needswings

My son bought me the IC isolation kit (what a fine lad!). Is there an installation thread for the IC coolant separator kit? The images/instruction seem pretty sparse on the Needswings site (no offense Rob) and there were no instructions at all in the box.

Also, I have not seen anyone comment on before/after performance changes. I'd love to hear opinions/experiences.

I received my kit yesterday, Rob emailed me the instructions before i got the box,
give him a call or I can forward a set to you,
it saves the intercooler as in the past under higher water pressures the cooler will start leaking. Also it helps keep the intake air cooler.
I have many of Rob's parts, they are the best. service is the best.

I just did it.
Radiator return temp at shut-down is still 150 degrees but the S/C return line now runs 110 degrees at shut-down.
That's 27% cooler than before. Seems to accelerate faster too.

What is the purpose of the 1/4 inch discharge hose that goes on an angle from the intercooler return aluminum tube to the tank? I do not understand why Mercedes ever designed it that way. Saltbranch, are you having a problem?

Hi Rob, As far as I know it's all installed and operating as intended. No leaks, no runs, no puns.

Let me be the first to congratulate you on being the Car Of the Month for June on Drag Times.

Please can you tell us where does the little hose from the IC pump go. The nipple is plugged on the new pumps. It appeared to be dry when I took it off the old pump so I assumed it was drain, but the hose just disappeared upward.

the other end of that hose is open to atmosphere in the engine bay. it is not needed on the new pumps, bosch stuck the dead "nipple" there so you would have a place to attach the dead hose, which can still make it equally confusing, lol.

so the hose is not needed, either remove it from the car or leave it hanging there doing nothing. it is intertwined into the IC fluid hose assembly so I just left mine there
