I'd pull the seat and lubricate everything. The junker driver's seat I bought to modify so my hip didn't hurt (having an electric knife helps) was like that until I lubricated everything. Now works fine.
Lesse so far I have cut down the foam side bolsters in the seat for more hip room, took a sawzall and air grinder to the rear bulkhead for more legroom, removed the left foot dead pedal, and added a modern head unit with HFP and Bluetooth. It is slowly getting comfortable when going 70 or 100 miles.
Just need to add a steeper overdrive and retune the engine for 87 PON. Thinking about adding a tilt steering column.
Not the most I've done to make a car comfortable but close.
