power seat issues
Just purchased 2005 roadster, great car !! Right after purchase I discovered a power seat problem. On the drivers side when trying to move seat backward or forward, the seat only moves a little bit at a time. After a short pause, you can get it to move another short distance. It takes awhile to move it from all the way back to forward position. Sure could use some help with this. Thanks
I'd pull the seat and lubricate everything. The junker driver's seat I bought to modify so my hip didn't hurt (having an electric knife helps) was like that until I lubricated everything. Now works fine.
Lesse so far I have cut down the foam side bolsters in the seat for more hip room, took a sawzall and air grinder to the rear bulkhead for more legroom, removed the left foot dead pedal, and added a modern head unit with HFP and Bluetooth. It is slowly getting comfortable when going 70 or 100 miles.
Just need to add a steeper overdrive and retune the engine for 87 PON. Thinking about adding a tilt steering column.
Not the most I've done to make a car comfortable but close.
