You can read the oil level on the dash. Turn key on and immediate press the left dash **** once. 7 seconds later the display will change. Press the **** twice and it will display the oil level. A description is on page 125 of the '07 owner's manual under "Checking Oil Level".
Thanks for the tip but unfortunately that did not work. Tried it yesterday a few times and it just didn't do anything. All it did was change to the "service display" displaying the wrench!
No big deal, I am off today and heading to Autozone to get a quart of oil. The reading of the dipstick is basically at MIN and so 1 quart should do the trick. Will have to keep an eye on it just to make sure I don't have a leak (no visible leaks so far).
My explanation is that the guy who did the oil change might have done 8 quarts instead of 8 1/2 and me driving on the highway in Florida A LOT with the heat might have burned through 1/2 to 1 of a quart hence the light.
