I guess if it were easy, everyone could do it
Apparently I tore the engine down a little farther than needed to replace the timing cover, no worry, put some of it back together right? Well my buddy snapped a bolt in the head re-installing the rocker assembly :insertfacepalm. Not a big deal, but I wanted a break from that thing so I jumped the gun and made the ECU with a spare one I had laying around. 2 day project on that, but it's done and it's beautiful.
I also got a surprise ECU project done enough to see if it'll work :O ............. Can anyone say 55K manual with cruise in the R170 chassis
I figure a few more days, few hours here and there, and the motor will be pristine ready to go. Then it'll be a matter of ripping the V6 out, and dropping the 8 in, easy part. Fab is all ready to go. The only thing I'll be waiting on is shipping for the correct flywheel, but I need this one out first. All in all, I'll meet the deadline, but it'll be the later expected given the whole situation... Motor showing up the same day as the car when I wanted the motor a week before, Motor coming extremely damaged, Wrong year advertised, etc.
