Well, probably because someone "manufactured" them. LOL. I made Rudy aware this morning. I like the shroud idea. Certainly could be made. AS for the heat issue, I run mine with tight tolerances from day one, so that isn't an issue. Mine will turn the s/c even when not engaged. I can stop the s/c with my hand at idle. My guess would be at the time they installed the rivets, too much pressure may have been used, and a crack formed between the rivets. Just a guess at this point. Certainly an error was made.
