If I had to do it again I would use a thinner material as I got a few wrinkles I could not get out.
These materials can be used for headliners. Most have a backing which can be stripped by turning the material with the backing side up, spraying with adhesive remover until it is saturated, wait a minute then just peel the backing off. You have to wash the material then and let it dry before using. If you don't the adhesive remover soaks into the material and makes a poor bond. With the backing off, most materials of this type are stretchy enough to conform very well.
