It's starting to get a little cold here too...

Close? yes. I was supposed to get them yesterday, but then they said today ... and then today they said Thursday ....
Normally I'd be mildly agitated, but I told them when they quoted it that I was not going to press them if they were extra nice on the pricing

AND, at the last minute, I decided to have some better looking hardware made (securing bolts) as I hated how clunky the Hex bolts looked. The bolts are jumbo (12mm x 1.5) because they use the SuperCharger lifting holes. 12mm x 1.5 is a crazy uncommon thread (most everything available is either 12mm x 1.75 OR 12mm x 1.25). I have been looking all along for something better and the only alternative (linked by Syfi, thanks : ) was only slightly better looking and a bother coming from the UK. So, I was all set to have some button heads made locally (keep in mind I'm trying to NOT add much, if any, to the cost), but got tripped up on the reality that many users would have to go buy a T50 drive to install it ...

SO... I chucked up a couple of the Mcmaster Carr Hex bolts in my office lathe and made these yesterday (see pics comparing modified to off the shelf) additionally, I ordered up some lower profile lock-washers which make it even nicer.

I dropped off a sample, a drawing,and a box of bolts to a machine shop that owes me a favor this morning and they tell me they should be machined and back from the plating shop by the weekend.

Like I said, the machine shop owes me favors (and will likely do the machining for next to nothing) ... SO... If they only charge me the lot charge for plating , I will probably NOT have to pass along any additional cost to those on the list (it's my hope to keep the cost as I had indicated previously).

SO, "CLOSE" is relative ... I'm hoping I'll be shipping next Monday.
