Cousin Steve,
I thank you for your clear thinking (and obvious good taste )

Cheers,

You know....that disagreement really wasn't that bad. I kind of enjoyed how you both told each other to kiss one's ***..... We need to keep things short and to the point like this when we choose to degrade one another. So, I will do as you ask Chris and not fan the flames, but point out this piece will do the job it is designed to do, with the correct material, and at a price everyone can AFFORD. Need I say COPPER inner cooler? LOL............. Sorry, Chris, it's in my character....hope we can meet in person one day.....

Very nice design work!! - With just a bit of polishing would fit right into my engine bay..

I have been asked about supplying this part with various finishes. But it adds a layer of cost and complexity that would surely bite me in the but. I like your idea of polishing it and/or painting it as others have suggested. This part is stainless steel and is finished with a very light tumble finish that, as shipped, should look good for a long time ..... OR.... it should polish up nicely or be easy enough to add color as it pleases the end user.
I appreciate your comments. Let me know if you want one.
cheers,
Chris

It's starting to get a little cold here too...

Close? yes. I was supposed to get them yesterday, but then they said today ... and then today they said Thursday ....
Normally I'd be mildly agitated, but I told them when they quoted it that I was not going to press them if they were extra nice on the pricing
(and they were : )

AND, at the last minute, I decided to have some better looking hardware made (securing bolts) as I hated how clunky the Hex bolts looked. The bolts are jumbo (12mm x 1.5) because they use the SuperCharger lifting holes. 12mm x 1.5 is a crazy uncommon thread (most everything available is either 12mm x 1.75 OR 12mm x 1.25). I have been looking all along for something better and the only alternative (linked by Syfi, thanks : ) was only slightly better looking and a bother coming from the UK. So, I was all set to have some button heads made locally (keep in mind I'm trying to NOT add much, if any, to the cost), but got tripped up on the reality that many users would have to go buy a T50 drive to install it ...

SO... I chucked up a couple of the Mcmaster Carr Hex bolts in my office lathe and made these yesterday (see pics comparing modified to off the shelf) additionally, I ordered up some lower profile lock-washers which make it even nicer.

I dropped off a sample, a drawing, and a box of bolts to a machine shop that owes me a favor this morning and they tell me they should be machined and back from the plating shop by the weekend.

Like I said, the machine shop owes me favors (and will likely do the machining for next to nothing) ... SO... If they only charge me the lot charge for plating , I will probably NOT have to pass along any additional cost to those on the list (it's my hope to keep the cost as I had indicated previously).

SO, "CLOSE" is relative ... I'm hoping I'll be shipping next Monday.

Cheers,
Chris

Ps Doc, thanks for reminding me of the copper ... ya old copper : )

Here are the hardware comparison pics

I only own a NA, but wanted to drop a comment here about how nicely these look. If I had an SRT (with a manual trans of course), this would be high on my list of must-haves. Form follows function perfectly here. Great job!

Funny, my first thought was that there had to be a better looking bolt... wait for a week, and BAMM, there it is. LOL Always great work Chris! Add me to the list please.

p.s. Still waiting for a good proximity sensor add-on

Doc, Don't get me started about fun in the Pits ...
There are always some that will run their mouth faster than they run their car ... and I never wanted to be the one to hand out lessons (The wall at the top of Turn 4 seemed to "school" that sort sufficiently ; )

Cheers,
Chris

Added ...
...just in time
I am told I am getting both the hardware from the plater and the scattershields this afternoon.

I expect I will be contacting those on list before the weekend is over to confirm desire and get shipping info, etc.

Have not forgotten about your interest in getting one of the Proximity sensor expansion modules .... I've just been so busy with so many projects ... not the least of which is my latest toy. An F250 which is Running over 30 PSI through 7.3 liters! (perhaps over 40 PSI in a week when I update to a better billet compressor wheel : )

Cheers,
Chris
