Your feedback above is accurate & something to be cautionary about when hooking up a battery charger. The charger I have will apply full charging current when initially hooked up and then reduces until it stops charging when the battery is fully charged. So, even though I monitor the charger carefully when used, I have never encountered an overcharging condition.

When I had my 2-wheel toys, I used a battery tender during winter season.
