When I was 18 I always pushed it, back then V-8's were the norm and I got caught doing the same thing. I was going 70 in a 45. The state trooper (WV) asked me why, told him I was trying to get to the store before they closed. He said go on to the store he would be waiting for me outside. When I came out he wrote me a warning and told me to slow down. Police are not always nasty and some like him were nice. Sorry you didn't run in to one with a little understanding, could have written you ten over.
