Now that you are even more confused. I can definitely tell you two things . . . Back at that time I determined that a Pierburg pump part number 7.00228.51 and a Pierburg pump part number #7.28337.00 are both correct for a Mercedes SL55. I can also tell you that the pump Rob at Needswing supplies is a TI Automotive pump with part number A 000 478 21 01 . . . I know because I bought one from Rob and it was still unopened in the box he sent to me . . . I just opened it up to check it out.
I researched the item# 70028510 u suggested (on amazon) and it came up for $338+$11.50 for shipping. When i read the item description, it gives a break down of each Mercedes model and years in which it fits. In the SL55 2003-2008 part, it says "this part requires sender unit OE# 0035424818". Can u (or anyone) shine some light on that? Im assuming (and really hoping cause this part is an additional $207) that this part is only needed if i actually had an SL55. Do we not need this part for our SRT6'?
