The AA is the non beeping module when locking/unlocking the car, the AB beeps.
The difference in price is basically two times for the beeping one. The AA is now obsolete, a few may be around though. If you dig one up on eBay you may get one that is a few days from failing.
I am going to put new batteries in my old non beeper before they leak as explained by ala-xfire and maybe sell it.
Do not buy the part using the Chrysler part numbers, use the Mercedes part number as it will be cheaper by far.
