For HIDs, the brightest light is actually 4300k, not 3000k as 3000k is too close to the red end of the spectrum and you lose light there too. 4300k puts out the most lumen at around 3200 lumen. 4300k is going to be pure white with a very very very slight tinge of yellow. 5500k gives you a pure crystal white light at around 2950 lumen and 6000k(what I use) gives you white with a slight blue tinge and around 2800 lumen.
