White halogen bulbs means they are pushing the max lumen a halogen can push, which means short lifespan.

My advice, if you want to go with something decent, would be to get 65watt osram H7 bulbs for the high beams. Or just stick to 55watt bulbs and leave the high beams be.

HIDs in the high beams are fine too, but just remember to leave the high beams on for at least 2 minutes if you do turn them on. Fast flicking on/off isn't a good idea for bulb and ballast health.
