I was at a car cruise today with my 66 Vette, where I saw a 2007 Crossfire NA Coupe with AT. A little old lady, probably close to 80, was the original owner, and had purchase it with just a few miles, as it was a dealer demonstrator. I asked if I could sit in it and get a familiar with the controls, she said yes. After I asked several questions about the car, she asked if I would like to take it for a drive and gave me the keys. I jokingly handed her my 66 Vette keys, as a security deposit, LOL! A nice driving car, even though I only took it around the block, a couple of miles. The cruise control stalk is easy to mistake for the turn signal control, but nothing I couldn't get used to. I had heard about this criticism and the lack of a tilt steering column. But, the telescoping column seems more than adequate. Rear visability is limited but much better when compared to a 63-67 Vette coupe. It had 55K miles, and the headliner was starting to fall down on the passenger side but outherwise a beautiful car. So that sums up my first Crossfire driving experience. I am starting to get the permagrin! So I am even more interested in getting one now. I mean.....for my wife, of course, I'm sure she will demand the SRT-6! Need to sell my 86 Vette coupe.
