By looking at the service manual schematics, it would appear that the fault must lie with the BCM ( Body Control Module ).
It has unswitched 12v at all times, so internally it must decide that if switched 12v is not present, then don't run the window motors.
ala_xfire, please re-read my statement. I was talking about my 1966 Corvette power windows, not the Crossfire. I was trying to express, with several examples, "how unsafe cars were back then" ie. 1966!
