I once had a '81 Mazda 626 that I re-wired so that the windows WOULD work without the key.
No kids ever in the car, I did it so I could run out of the office and quickly close the windows if it rained.
I always left it parked with the windows down ( 100 degree days in Atlanta )
I see you point, I have lived in Florida for the past 20 plus years, and having the windows down is a good plan even in the winter....here. The alarm system that I installed in my 66 has the option for remote keyless entry, which with much difficulty, I adapted to the 66 Vette door locks. Vettes didn't have the PDL option til 1977-78?? & it wasn't remote keyless. The system also has the circuit to remotely roll up the windows, but I haven't wired that part up, nor do I plan to. Like most guys, I love the gadgets & gizmos!
