I thought about a catch can very hard. I was shocked by the pictures of those with oil in the upper valve cover vents. When I did my elbow debaffle I took off the drivers side hose from the elbow to the upper valve cover. It was totally dry and completely oil free. I had expected some oil (I am a lead-foot) and was pleasantly surprised none was present. Seems this XF doesn't need a catch can yet.
