Convertible top frames do not normally need to be lubed. Even the two hydraulic latches come well lubed from the factory, and I haven't seen a case yet where they would be sticking on account of friction. The rear bow lock in the Crossfire can potentially have crud around the micro switch, but that is not a lubrication issue and it doesn't match your symptoms.

If the rear bow latch does not always release, then I would check the hydraulic fluid level in the pump first.
