Default automatic transmission

Hi. I just bought a 2005 Crossfire Coupe Limited. I took it to a Chrysler dealer to check everything out. The car has 42K miles, but the service rep said even though the book says change the automatic trans fluid at 80k, it should be changed because the vehicle is 10 yrs old. So they changed the fluid. A couple days later when I parked the car outside the charge I noticed an oily stain on the garage floor. Looking under the car I also saw what I thought was a frayed wire sort of hanging down from the bottom of the engine. I took it back to the dealer. They said the trans had burped and sent fluid out the overflow, but that no damage was done and I was good to go. In looking under the car again, I saw what looks to be a brand new silver mesh type hose. I now believe that the trans is a closed system. I don't know if a trans needs to be bled or not, but I think there was air in the system and that it blew out that mesh hose. I don't know how much fluid would have gone out if that was the case and if it is likely that the damage was done to the trans. I am not too mechanically inclined so if there is someone who can advise me as to what they think happened and if it is likely damage was done, I would be much appreciative. thanks. glen
