Right, change out the pump. I'm a fan of the Bosch 10, mainly for plug-n-play. I'd be willing to bet after you tear down the original pump, it'll be obvious. I couldn't believe mine had failed on the black one after only 800! orig miles, but it had the exact same symptoms as your car.
