And of course the guy didn't have insurance, along with the fact he didn't know how to drive in the rain.
The Crossfire took a very hard hit, but I was surprised at how well it held up. It knocked my car into the next lane. This little Crossfire is tough, and my most favorite car of all time.
From the photos it does not look that bad..............Damage = need a new door, front and rear panels, 2 new wheels.
I had a shoulder injury, but drove the car home after that. Still runs like a champ.
Only love for my Crossfire.
Sorry to hear!! That sure sucks. Where in Florida do you live? I live in the St. Pete area and it amazes me how many people still don't have insurance even though it is required by law. Maybe the penalties need to be a little steeper than a cheap ticket! Not sure, but obviously it sucks that this guy hit you. Obviously the fact that he doesn't have money to afford insurance means you probably won't get much out of that guy either way.
I know an amazing body shop in the St. Petersburg area who is skilled working with and on Crossfires. In case you are close by that would probably be the place to go to see what need replacing and what can be fixed (i.e. door) . Best of luck and glad you didn't get injured badly in the accident. YOUR well being is the most important part no matter how much you love your car
