The two items may be related - unstable 12 volt power caused by a crappy, old battery. But what I find disturbing here is your "trip to the dealer" remark.
Unless you need the TPMS modules reprogrammed,
NOTHING warrants a trip to the dealer.
If you are just going to take the car to the dealer, you don't need us, you need a bottomless pit of money and time.
