The SC IC pump will in all probability not work at any point. Its spindle may be turning but the impeller will be broken into pieces and no longer attached to the motor spindle. The lack of power is due to the SC clutch not engaging due to the overly high temperature of the IC due to the lack of cooling.
The new Bosch IC pumps, with the part number 0392022010, have as yet not had problems.
