And to keep it out, you should nip a slot/hole in the two lower cavity drain hole plugs below the foam inserts under the jack kit (on both sides). You'll have to remove the lower trim on both sides and the rear lower trim below the hatch latch to be able to remove those foam inserts. I took a razor and sliced a very small (pie shapped) section out of the little 'nipple' sticking up into the well areas. The right side bay has the central locking module in there inside that foam 'box'. Carefully open that up and check closely for water damage as others have mentioned.
