Hi Mike,
you either damaged the conductor that slides across the the printed circuit board or left something out when you put it back together .
I don't have a picture of the conductor, but here is where it goes (see pic)
I will dig through my stuff and see if I have a better pic. and you can call me and I will help you get this straightened out.
