Better think about this.

You own a car known for electrical issues that dealers don't have a CLUE about. We drive an orphan of a car that Mercedes won't admit is theirs', and that Chrysler knows little about. And you are about to add another layer of difficulty in getting the car running should ANYTHING go wrong with either the car OR that modification you are doing to do.

Tell me, if the car won't crank or start - who are you going to take it to?

It is YOUR car and YOUR money and YOUR time, do what you wish to. But do NOT do this without really considering the implications.
With the car set up as from the factory, we here can give you a lot of help, but if you mod it like that, you are somewhat on your own.

REALLY think this thru - if you are good with electronics and are going to do this yourself, then I'm all for it. But if you are depending on others, then I'd really think this thru.
Have you not already read the threads where people have had electrical issues and been without the car for as long as three months?
