Hi Guys,


Today I was getting ready to change the coolant in my 05 SRT-6 and noticed a shimmy movement (2-3 mm) in the belt where it makes contact with the water pump pulley. I checked all of the bolts on that pulley and they were tight. I grabbed the entire pulley and found movement when I applied pressure at different angles. My suspicion is that the water pump is on its way out. Would you guys concur? Currently I do not see any coolant leaking. The belt is in great shape, coolant levels are normal. Ideas? Further ways to test?


Due to the location of the water pump, it does not look like a hard job to replace but with only 80K on the clock, I'm wondering if that failure was to be expected that soon?


Does anyone know where to get the correct part (Not from the dealer) at a decent price? I'm on a budget here.
