Default Headlight Protection Film, anybody use it?

I have been reading up on the various headlight protection films, and they look very promising. They are quite thick and if they protect from impact as well as yellowing/hazing, they are well worth the $$.
Seems to be about $60-$70 for precut. My headlights are almost perfect since the car was used so little, and I want to protect them as much as I can. Figure the thick .040 film is only 5% of the cost of new headlights, it can't hurt.
Has anybody used this type of film on any cars?
"WeatherTech Custom Fit LampGard" is one of the companies, and there are a couple others.
P.S. I think some of them also come with pre-cut Fog Light covers as well.
