Default Re: Looking to buy a low mileage roadster

It would seem you have narrowed the search to a low mileage well kept Crossfire and within that to a Roadster and have even eliminated a few colors. Given these cars are uncommon, I wonder if you have test driven the automatics and sticks and an SRT6. Each has a distinct personality.

The market is flooded with Crossfires, many with very low miles from people not dealers, at the present. When I bought mine there was one local NA convertible and only one SRT6 convertible within a days drive to chose from. You have a tasty buffet all served up.

When I bought my Jag I knew I wanted an S-Type R (supercharged 4.2 V8) to replace my long owned Volvo V70R but when I drove a NA 3 liter six I was surprised that it would do nicely. I ended up compromising (hard thing to do) to a very low mileage (11K) 4.2 V8 without the R's supercharger in a color combination I did not seek but have come to appreciate.

It took me an intense 9 months to get this daily driver that had to be able to haul art as well as haul ... go swiftly... . Things went quicker once I decided it was history, condition, low miles and the S-type body with navigation I found most important and could compromise on the options, colors and, even, the price.

With the Crossfire there was no compromising needed.

Just a nudge, you are missing some fine top down weather and the upcoming Dragon meet is not too far off.
