A quick update as the search continues. The guy who raised his price says he did it because his secretary listed it for the wrong price! He still has the car with no bites at $13,000 so I will wait him out. Looked at a blue one with 24k on it but it was a hard 24k. The car is near NYC and has multiple door dings and the rims are loaded with curb rash so it was an easy pass on this one. Looked at a black 2007 base with 28k on it that was in really nice condition, came close to leaving a deposit on this one but I really think I want a limited so I passed on it. I then looked at a 28k Sapphire silver blue limited at a dealer (God I hate car dealers) and fell in love with the color! Unfortunately the car had a crack in the front bumper cover, it looks like someone pulled the car up too far and hit one of those concrete parking lot things. They say that they can repair it and repaint the front bumper cover to look like new. After playing the "I gotta talk to the sales manager" game on the repair and the price a few times I left without buying it. Did I mention I hate car dealers!! Still considering the black limited for sale by a member here but its 12 hours away and I am not sure I can work out the logistics of that one right now. Mship, your car looks great but too far for now. I am taking a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale in early November so if I havent bought one by then and yours is still available we will have to talk! There are a couple more on the radar but still waiting to hear back from the owners with more info. Anybody here live near Dayton Ohio, waiting on more info on a white one there. The thrill of the hunt is half the fun, right? Sorry for the long winded update but I though you guys might like following along with the adventure.

I must admit you are diligent in your search for a Crossfire. I've seen a few black Crossfires around my area but in my opinion a Crossfire roadster should only be red (like mine). Come on red with a white interior beats them all. I live in a area where most cars are either a Benz-BMW-Lexus. Actually within 2 miles of my home I have the largest BMW & Lexus dealers in the world! but when I pull up in the Crossfire everybody stops to take a look at it. You should see the reaction when I take it to the local Chrysler dealer for service. I actually think some of the sales people have never seen one!
I don't have the car listed for sale on any sites so if you let me your schedule of being in FLL in November we can make arrangements to meet and you can inspect the car (if you haven't found one by then).Appreciated the update on your "quest".

It would seem you have narrowed the search to a low mileage well kept Crossfire and within that to a Roadster and have even eliminated a few colors. Given these cars are uncommon, I wonder if you have test driven the automatics and sticks and an SRT6. Each has a distinct personality.

The market is flooded with Crossfires, many with very low miles from people not dealers, at the present. When I bought mine there was one local NA convertible and only one SRT6 convertible within a days drive to chose from. You have a tasty buffet all served up.

When I bought my Jag I knew I wanted an S-Type R (supercharged 4.2 V8) to replace my long owned Volvo V70R but when I drove a NA 3 liter six I was surprised that it would do nicely. I ended up compromising (hard thing to do) to a very low mileage (11K) 4.2 V8 without the R's supercharger in a color combination I did not seek but have come to appreciate.

It took me an intense 9 months to get this daily driver that had to be able to haul art as well as haul ... go swiftly... . Things went quicker once I decided it was history, condition, low miles and the S-type body with navigation I found most important and could compromise on the options, colors and, even, the price.

With the Crossfire there was no compromising needed.

Just a nudge, you are missing some fine top down weather and the upcoming Dragon meet is not too far off.

I have a 2006 black/black convertible, manual 6 speed, only 18,000 miles and just broken in! Florida location. I will get some pictures and send via messenger.
$12,000 title in hand. Tough to let this girl go...but circumstances are right now!

It would hard to equal this one. Over time the extra dollars will be forgotten.

What a beautiful car and just down the road from you.

Not sure I like it in yellow, I would have to see one in person first.

Ya' gotta go with what you love. I could not go green or blue myself.

I still miss the yellow 66 vette convertible I did not buy and the yellow 79 TVR 3000S Roadster I did.

And for what it is worth:

In Islam Yellow means Wisdom
Hindus consider Yellow a Sacred color
Buddhist monks wear Saffron Yellow robes
In many Middle East countries Yellow represents Golden Prosperity
To Native Americans Yellow is the symbol for unconditional Love
In China Yellow represents Honor and prosperity

I have a long standing Crossfire enthusiast friend, who due to ill health, will likely be selling his 2005 Crossfire Limited Convertible in White in the next few weeks. I will be visiting him next week and will take pictures. From memory it has approx. 19,000 miles and is spotless. Currently fitted with Mercedes aftermarket wheels, originals are available, also fitted with new aftermarket exhaust system which sounds terrific. The interior is Black/White. The car is located in Kerrville, Texas, not far from Austin. Will let you know, if you are interested, OR will probably post on the Forum failing your interest.

Someone bought this beauty but yellow (more elegant cream yellow like the Palm Beach Edition Buick, really) it is.

Thanks,
That one is beautiful.

I am not sure my friend wants all the toys but the mileage is attractive. The vanilla seats are a real plus. And some of the toys might be of interest to me. I am trying to connect to the young lady and see if her enthusiasm has remained high after meeting all of us the Fontana Lodge last week end.

Quick update, still havent found the right one. I really think Sapphire Silver Blue is gonna be the winning color if I can find one. Found a couple of coupes in my color and am considering making the switch to a coupe. Tried joining the Crossfire club on Facebook as suggested and they wouldnt let me join because I dont own a Crossfire yet! Thanks for the leads, all PM's replied to.
