Well, well, well... I have more news...
I got a call this morning from the local DC rep, so it could be that there might be some more details to share... I called her back and just got VM, so its phone tag time but now I at least have a local name and number so I feel somewhat better.
But I will tell you that my next step is to demand a different dealer look at my car and go over it with a fine tooth comb. A few of you have told me I need to do that but this time I want DC to tell me which dealer she needs to go. While it still could have been that I had an inexperienced TECH (from what a few of you have said, its very likely), I need to feel assured that my car is 100% operational...
The good news is that I have not experienced anything that resembles my problem, so it 'seems' that it was fixed - but she needs to be inspected before I feel 100% comfortable taking her on a long road trip.
