OTOH I'd drop a 3.6 Pentastar in. 285hp stock, 305HP available NA and bolts up to the 6 speed or automagic trans (used in the Wrangler). Can keep the abs. I like DOHC 6s.

ps if going with boost, the Merc SLK350 engine is a similar family but has direct injection for higher MCP on pump gas.
