It seems like the only engine swap that keeps the owner's attention (for very long) is the Mercedes V8. Even the Hemi Crossfire was put up for sale not very long after it was completed.
Don't get me wrong, I personally have no problem with engine swaps, I love the sound a healthy "American" V8 makes. But except for a handful of Crossfire's with Mercedes V8's, most any swap automatically kills a cars resale value. But since the Crossfire's resale is in the dumpster anyways, it really doesn't matter.
I did find the comments about "keeping it Chrysler" (by using the 3.8 V6) interesting, since the car is mechanically all Mercedes.
