Or do the bigger filters/tubes mean that more suction is created or something for more air? The cold air intake side of the tubes is the same as the original though.
The fittings by the radiator have holes which are uninterrupted but the filters hava million or more holes in them. The smaller holes in the filters have more restriction just because they are so small, if you have larger filters fitted then you have more holes and the restriction in each small hole is less of a problem as there are more holes in total.
You can compare it to a can with a smal hole leak and the same can with two holes the same size, the can with two holes will drain first.
