Default Re: Seats

"I"m 5'10" and around 200 - I have an issue with the small of my back and the XF seats would DESTROY My back"

Same. with 30" inseam. See post #2. If you have a coupe there is a lot you can do, a roadster, not so much.

I often drive a couple of hundred miles non-stop. If I try to do that sitting upright my back hurts. Reclining so the weight is on my shoulders it doesn't.

Add that the wheel does not tilt and the seat side bosters are for slim people & I almost passed on the Crossfire.after a test ride in a roadster.

So did three things:
1) raised back of seat about 1/2" & moved seat up until wheel in an acceptable posirion.
2) Carved side bolsters and raised center of seat so my hip doesn't hurt.
3) Carved about 4" out of the non-structural bulkhead behind the driver's seat.

Now is comfortable and just need to install the 2.87 rear end. May replace the cat-back with a single pipe and go to smaller diameter wheels for more compliance in the sidewalls (60 series maybe).

Don't think I've ever had a stock car.
