Only when doing the "Sticky Key" fix have I heard of that. But it would not be a bad idea to get in there and look. YOu'd need to drop the bottom of the dash out as instructed in the sticky key fix. Takes only a phillips screwdriver and an 8mm socket or nutdriver.
