Lay the console upside down (on a towel) and remove 4 torx screws holding the cup holder in place. Reverse the removal process to reinstall the console.
The storage cup snaps into place from the top of the console and can be done before or after reinstalling it...
Perfect instructions ... Just installed my storage bin this evening. Two additions to the instructions could be added ...
1) Apply a small amount of dish soap on a flat wooden stick, like a popsicle stick and gently slide it between the rubber on the parking brake and the metal of the brake itself. (Don't leave the stick in there.) As you pull the rubber piece the soap will slide between and ease pulling. At least for me it was easier. I tried just pulling it and the combination of friction plus me squeezing it to pull it off made it harder, the soap helped as I got the rubber piece further and further off.
2) Apply another small dab of soap on the metal prior to reinstalling the rubber piece ... it slides on in a snap. I do mean a small dab too ... that's all it needs.
The later wasn't my idea I read it somewhere else on XFF.org.
I'll post a pic ...
