The TPS IS in the throttle body, pop the black cover off and you will see it with it's 3 or 4 wiper arms .....
The accelerator pedal also has a rheostat that tells the PTCM the pedal position.
The PTCM takes a gander at that, then compares it with the TPS to see it it needs to open or close the TB throttle plate.
Classic "drive by wire".
