When it came time for next fill-up, she went back to Shell, which is cheaper. Few miles on the way to work and engine light comes on. I told her that it's probably the difference in the ethanol that has caused it. Cleared the error but CEL came back the next day. Threw in a bottle of CRC 1Tank Power Renew 15oz Fuel System Cleanup. Few miles down the road and the engine light goes away and has never come back.
The p0410 code has nothing to do with the fuel, it's the air injection pump, could be several things that caused the code but the most common is the RCM air pump injection relay, that pump pulls a lot of juice and and it causes a lot of arching at the relay contacts, more than likely the reason the light went out was because it made contact again and went through a couple of Cycles and the system turned the light off itself. It's not going to get any better by itself you're going to have to address the problem and fix it. PM tighten 1 for a very economical solution.
