In 3 miles, you are not going to hurt anything. ( make sure it's in neutral with parking brake off )
For long distance, a car trailer ( all 4 wheels off the ground ) is advised.

Why not just connect a tow strap to the front, put it in neutral and have someone pull you ?
( I know if it won't run that the steering will be a bit stiff, along with the brakes not being too good, but 3 miles should be doable )

Would probably need to know WHY you need to tow it to offer any further suggestions.
