Haha I know how frightening it sounds to take out the ignition, but it was really easy. Drilling out the locking pin took a little while, but once I found the right dremel (bought one for 30$ at wal mart) bit it took about 5 mins. Putting it back together was also very simple. I recommend just following the posts in the beginning of the thread.
I have ZERO handy skills. My car is stuck on the 2nd floor of a parking garage and they couldn't even tow it out bc the wheels were locked. I made a deal with the AAA driver to come back sunday and do this fix for me and id give him 200 bucks
