Apparently the latter has to be ordered direct from the manufacturer and needs to be programmed to sync up with a computer. Parts and labor came out to be 2900 in repairs. Thanks for everyone helping me out and trying to keep the cost of repairs down.
As if I was not in a bad enough mood already, here we go with yet another dealer STEALING from a customer. There was nothing wrong with your ignition and the SKREEM only costs around $250. Labor to change it should not exceed $200-$300.
