Re: INmotion Tune-SRT-6
The results of the dyno speak for themselves...oh wait! They secretly modified the dyno and fabricated the results just to make customers happy! This is one of the top shops in Tucson...they don't fabricate or falsify results. They had about $500,000 worth of cars in their shop. You don't get that business through lying and manipulating data.
Look guys, I don't really care about whose **** is bigger. The dyno results are obvious and it isn't the first dyno I've been to, and this is far from the first car I've worked with. You can challenge those results all you want, it really doesn't matter to me. I think it is very feasible that somebody bought a tune for the car in light of the fact the ECU is locked, a common practice by custom tuners.
I've read so many opinions on this forum that counter each other that it is ridiculous. Some swearing "you need new injectors and fuel pump with the 62mm pulley." Not true. Oh wait! Those AFRs must be fabricated too.....
The bottom line is the car pulled 350hp at 342lbs of torque at the rear wheels at 5800rpms. Just the statement "that must have been crank horsepower" diminishes any response you might have. What dyno shop calculates crank hp?!!!! Seriously....
So gents....have fun with your thoughts and opinions. I put paper up....anybody else got those dyno sheets that aren't from 10-years ago? Nope...exactly what I thought.
One individual who I respect on this forum looked at the sheet, the mods, and said "those numbers are right where they should be." That person was Les. So....I'm really cool with the dyno results. What I really set out to do in this forum is get through to Eurocharge and INmotion and see if the VIN matches any of their tunes.
As far as anything else....I could care less. Right now the car breaks the tires loose 1st through 3d at WOT so there's some HP hitting those wheels.
Oh...and for the "signature" everyone seems so inclined to put up (you know...the **** toss)
1. 1963 Chevy nova, 350 4-bolt mains, 202 heads, headers, running a shortened posi with 4:11 gears
2. 1968 Road Runner 383 magnum
3. 1973 Chevy Nova 400 small block, 4-bolt mains, 202 heads high rise intake, headers, 750 holley, turbo 400 with 2200 stall converter...you want torque? Pulled the front tires off of the ground
4. 1978 corvette 350 stroked to a 383, turbo 350
"This ain't my first rodeo" I built every one of those motors from the short block up.
So....you guys have all the answers and the dyno shops in your back yard...I'll defer to you because it's easier that way. As far as the story line noted above...it isn't one I conveyed at any point. However, I know MANY people who chip their cars before launching into other mods because they want a baseline to work from...as they say "Caso Cerrada."
