I hear you, I had two cars at the same time with the same 3.2 litre engine, a '93 Chrysler Concorde and a '95 Chrysler LHS. Admitted the LHS was a bit heavier than the Concorde but the engine in the Concorde run rings around the one in the LHS.
Every engine has its quirks, all the right parts in an engine makes all the differance. The same thing applies to all things mechanical.
